About The Position

The 1 Phase Padmount Repair Technician repairs and evaluates single-phase padmount transformers. The role includes estimating repair costs, documenting work, checking completed units for quality, and meeting repair and defect goals set by a supervisor. The technician is responsible for the equipment and tools at their workstation and helps maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. The position is onsite in Waco, Texas, and pays $20.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

Be honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
Be hardworking.
Have the physical ability to perform heavy work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or more than 20 pounds frequently.
Be comfortable working in extreme heat and cold.
Use basic math to calculate transformer amps and ratios.

Responsibilities

Repair 1 phase padmount transformers.
Estimate repair costs of 1 phase padmount transformers.
Scrap unrepairable units and pull shop cards.
Read and comprehend customer specifications.
Complete warranty and report analysis.
Perform quality checks on units before they leave the department.
Use basic math skills to calculate transformer amps and ratios.
Meet repair and defect goals set by the supervisor.
Be responsible for shop equipment and tools at the workstation.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
Operate a forklift, overhead crane, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
Work with fellow associates as a team to accomplish objectives.
