About The Position

As a 1:1 Inclusion Support Leader at Kama‘āina Kids, you will partner closely with one student who benefits from extra support. Your role will involve guiding, encouraging, and helping them fully participate in after-school activities, fostering their confidence, social skills, and independence. This position is ideal for individuals who are patient, compassionate, and motivated by seeing children grow and succeed. The role offers a consistent weekday afternoon schedule with no nights or weekends, and provides valuable experience for those pursuing careers in education, special education, psychology, or behavioral health.

18+ with High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Provide Dedicated 1:1 Support: Work closely with one student during activities like games, crafts, homework time, and outdoor play.
Encourage Inclusion & Connection: Help your student engage with peers, build friendships, and feel confident participating in group activities.
Offer Positive, Individualized Guidance: Support behavior, transitions, and learning in a way that meets your student’s unique needs.
Collaborate with Your Team: Partner with Group Leaders and staff to create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all keiki.
