About The Position

Envision Imaging is looking to add a PRN X-Ray Technologist to our team at our Keller office! PRN (As-Needed) | Position Pay Range $25.70 - $33.12 Summary/Objective: Performs various types of diagnostic X-Ray procedures, adjusts X-Ray equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure and positions patient. Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation. Assists physicians in assigned examination utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations. Essential Functions Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation. Performs exams while attending to patient's care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient's condition changes at any time. Transfers images to other locations as needed. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two plus years' experience in X-Ray- preferred
  • Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
  • Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Registry in Radiography (R)
  • Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
  • Current CPR certification
