We’re changing lives. We are looking for a Writer’s Assistant whose primary job is to provide support to the Lead Writer across all aspects of our content production pipeline at Dhar Mann Studios.

Requirements

• 2+ years of production company, on-set, or studio experience, with an emphasis on creative development, producing, and project management.
• 3+ years of experience in screenwriting and character development
• Understanding of YouTube retention and best practices
• Ability to authentically write for a variety of voices, generations, backgrounds that appeal to a Gen Alpha/Gen Z audience
• Strong creative instincts in production design, props, and wardrobe
• Ability to contribute constructively during the development and pre-production phases.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Solution-oriented with the ability to creatively solve problems
• Quick learner’s mindset with attention to detail and strong pattern recognition skills with an ability to adapt
• Understanding of low-budget productions and variables that impact budget
• Ability to hit deadlines and quick turnarounds

Nice To Haves

• Have expertise/are knowledgeable in sports and video games—understand the lingo, gameplay, culture
• Are well-versed in social media culture (TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
• Have experience in music, film editing, directing, acting, and/or cinematography
• Have written and produced your own films
• Can read and write in 2+ languages

Responsibilities

• Working remotely to support the Lead Writer through formatting, research, script revisions, ensuring continuity, and creative problem-solving
• Rewriting dialogue to incorporate authentic Gen Z language, current cultural references, and platform-native voice while maintaining the emotional core of each story
• Flagging crucial details in the script to corresponding departments including stunts, clearance concerns, casting for special skills, complex props, etc.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address pending tasks from various departments across pre-production.
• Track action items in an organized system and follow up about timelines, deadlines, and progress.
