About The Position

Build your Career. Make a Difference. Presbyterian is hiring a skilled Wound Treatment Associate to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an Outpatient Clinic. Common responsibilities include preparing the patient for the visit, maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the provider with treatments and procedures, medication administration, support for clerical functions to include scheduling, referrals, authorization and in-basket support with the EMR. Requirements

  • Specialized training in clinical medical skills such as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Tech or military medic program from an accredited school or military organization
  • BLS required at time of hire.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing wound technician assistant procedures after completion of competency and validation under the supervision of a provider and PHS policy such as (not an inclusive list):
  • Rooming patients
  • Applies compression bandaging/devices
  • Application/removal of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)
  • Set up & assist for aseptic/sterile procedures
  • Performs advanced and simple wound care
  • Total Contact Casting
  • Assists or provides appropriate hygiene activities to maintain or promote skin integrity
