About The Position

The Worship Tech Coordinator will work with excellence at creating the best worship experience for congregants, provide A/V support for the worship team, and other CBC ministry efforts, including Sunday worship and youth worship. WORSHIP TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES Plan and Prepare Collaborate with worship and event planning teams to execute the overall vision of CBC. Participate in pre-production planning, including stage design and layout, to ensure an organized, distraction-free experience for leaders, teams, and the congregation. Oversee equipment organization for the main stage and youth center, providing direction on mic placement, instruments, lighting, video, and audio to deliver an excellent in-person and online experience. Stay current on best practices and emerging technologies, recommending equipment and improvements that advance the CBC worship experience. Lead the Team Deliver feedback to the tech team and worship/event leader, to improve and maximize production quality. Recruit, train, and manage new personnel for the technical team (for main worship and youth center worship) Operate and ensure proper control of front of house (FOH) sound board for sound reinforcement in the Worship Center during Sunday Services, conferences, and other events that require sound. Assist the worship/event leader in leading rehearsals and run-throughs, as necessary. Communicate Effectively Be the main communication conduit between staff/worship leads and tech, to provide excellence in worship and/or event production. Provide communication between stage (music) and technical booth in the technical aspects of event production, so the experience is seemingly flawless and continuous to both the participants and the congregation/audience. YOUTH MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with Student Ministries staff to plan and execute excellent weekly programming and major events, including Wednesday nights, conferences, camps, and seasonal initiatives. Lead and develop student and volunteer tech teams through training, mentoring, and active participation in planning and implementation meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or the pursuit of a bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with sound equipment and ear for quality sound both in-person and online.
  • Demonstrate spiritual maturity and provide support to the team, especially during times of stress and conflict.
  • Respond promptly to ministry-related emails, texts, and communications.
  • Demonstrate a pleasant “can-do” attitude and work around issues that may arise.
  • Expresses a teachable and humble attitude and maintains a professional appearance.
  • A desire to learn and grow in their knowledge and craft
  • Ability to train, delegate and empower
  • Communication skills in small and large group settings
  • Organizational and Leadership abilities demonstrated through past experiences
  • Use of productivity software, email, filesharing, and online communication software for project management and scheduling.
  • Schedule, oversee and manage multiple tasks and projects with self-initiative and administrative ability
  • Strong desire and skills to invest in youth and next generation leaders
  • Strategic planning and utilization of resources and volunteers
