About The Position
The Villa Maria Community Center is seeking a faith-filled and organized Worship Coordinator to lead and coordinate all aspects of the community's liturgical and prayer life. This individual will plan and prepare Eucharistic Liturgies, sacramental services, and special celebrations, fostering participation and spiritual enrichment among Sisters, residents, and staff. The Worship Coordinator will collaborate closely with priests, Sisters, musicians, and volunteers to ensure meaningful and well-prepared worship experiences.
Requirements
- Practicing Christian with a deep understanding of Catholic liturgy and theology of worship
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to inspire and collaborate with others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and related programs
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Liturgy, Theology, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Scheduling and coordinating liturgies and prayer services
- Recruiting and training liturgical ministers and volunteers
- Overseeing the chapel environment, seasonal decorations, supplies, and music licensing
- Managing communication related to worship schedules, presiders, and liturgical details
- Providing support for funerals, jubilees, and other community prayer events
