About The Position

Logistics: Planned Administrators Inc. (PAI) –one of BlueCross BlueShield's South Carolina subsidiary companies. Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future. Work Environment: Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer. Routine transporting of items up to 30 lbs. Transporting items up to 70lbs on occasion. Position Purpose: Responsible for the installation and configuration of workstation software and hardware for IT users. Learn to identify proper documented procedures and scripts used for troubleshooting end user problems.

Requirements

  • Required Education: Associate's in a job-related field Degree Equivalency: 2 years job related work experience
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Strong customer service skills. Able to identify and follow proper documented procedures and scripts used for troubleshooting problems. Able to provide Tier II support to IT users for basic software and hardware of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems.
  • Required Software and Other Tools: Familiarity with computer and workstation equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of work experience with PAI as a Workstation Support Technician Contractor.
  • Certifications: CompTIA CySA+ , CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA A+.

Responsibilities

  • Following established policies and procedures, assists in rollout and installation of workstation software and hardware.
  • Performs software updates and handles moves, computer setup and peripherals from site to site.
  • Maintains workstation hardware and software.
  • Replaces hardware that has become faulty and corrects software issues.
  • May order replacement parts and track status/inventory of items.
  • Ensures tools and equipment are licensed and approved by IS purchasing.
  • Complete data backups and restorations for users.
  • Assists customers/users and answers questions regarding their equipment.
  • May perform software testing and evaluation of new software and hardware prior to production.
