Workplace & Events Coordinator

PlainSan Francisco, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Plain is redefining customer support for the next generation of B2B companies. We're building the fastest, most powerful platform to help companies move beyond reactive support and build true customer relationships. Some of the world's most forward-thinking companies, like Cursor, Ashby, and Sanity, trust Plain to unify all customer interactions, enable faster team collaboration, and supercharge their workflows with AI. We're a small, tight-knit crew with offices in SF and London. This role is hybrid with 3 days a week in our SF office. Why this role is special At Plain, the way we show up for each other and for our community matters. You’ll be the person who makes that happen – from a well-run company offsite to a small, intimate customer dinner that leaves people wanting to come back. You'll work closely with our GTM and Ops teams to bring those moments to life. No two weeks will look the same. One week you're pulling together logistics for a customer dinner, the next you're coordinating details for our next company offsite. This role sits at the interaction of events, workplace experience, and operations. You’ll be a big part of how Plain feels, both internally and externally.

Requirements

  • Have 2+ years in office management, event coordination, executive support, or a similar role
  • Are the kind of person who notices the details – you notice and fix the small things that elevate an experience.
  • Bring strong “host energy” and care about how people feel in a space.
  • Can operate with autonomy, use good judgment, and bring strong EQ to every interaction.
  • Are comfortable juggling multiple priorities and shifting between them.
  • Want to be part of a small team where your work is visible and impactful.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution of customer events (dinners, roundtables, workshops), from planning through on-the-day delivery.
  • Bring Plain’s brand to life in the physical world – from the feel of our office to the details of an event (music, lighting, flow, follow-ups).
  • Partner closely with our GTM team to plan and run a steady cadence of community-facing events in SF.
  • Be the connective tissue of our SF and London offices – managing supplies, coordinating vendors, handling visitor experience, and making sure everything runs smoothly day to day.
  • Own logistics for company offsites and monthly team moments.
  • Support larger events and conferences (tradeshows, partner events), including swag, shipping, and on-the-ground coordination.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships to keep everything humming behind the scenes.
  • Support cross-functional projects across People, Ops, and GTM as we grow.
