Overview Over the next decade, Electric Boat and the supplier base that supports us must grow the enterprise workforce by thousands of skilled tradesmen and women! EB’s Workforce Development team supports the shipbuilding industry by developing and executing strategic initiatives aimed at maximizing career readiness through targeted pipeline and pathway programs while optimizing time to proficiency for EB’s diverse and growing workforce, as well as the Maritime Industrial Base nationwide. This team also builds and delivers exciting adult and youth trade exposure (BOAT) programs aimed at attracting the next generation of shipbuilders to come join us! The EB Workforce Development team is seeking an enthusiastic teammate to help us execute this exciting and innovative strategy as we work to attract new shipbuilders to come aboard and develop them into productive tradespeople. This role is responsible for a broad stretch of interrelated scope areas including: Lead for all High School recruiting programs in the state of CT Lead High School internship/co-op deployment and strategy for Groton & New London locations Work with all levels of the public-school systems to establish presence and schedule youth BOAT Programs, STEM activities, guest speakers, etc. Participate on regional advisory boards supporting various school partners across the state of CT Support and maintain current youth pathways activities Provide key metrics as needed to internal and external partners Play a key role in annual event planning & coordination for the workforce education team Strategic relationship management with local, state, and federal level partner organizations including non-profits, fiscal agencies, government offices, and third-party contractors Deployment of EB Liasion program supporting SME’s partnering with technical high school programming Perform other duties as assigned
