About The Position

Leads workforce development, training, and full-cycle recruitment while mentoring teams and partnering with leaders to build skilled talent pipelines, improve operational efficiency, and uphold safety, quality, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of welding and fabrication processes, as well as machining operations.
  • Mentors and advises employees, line supervisors, and managers to promote operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide Training to address workforce development needs
  • Facilitate streamlining of employment pipeline
  • Support creation of internal bench of top talent to serve business needs.
  • Develop training programs to enable the workforce to achieve improvements with priority organizational concerns
  • Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies.
  • Develop and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships within the organization and hiring community
  • Maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity and diversity.
  • Conduct presentations and training.
  • Maintain focus and alignment on improving operational and program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Recruit and contribute to full life cycle recruitment (post, source, prescreen, schedule, offer, onboarding, etc.)
  • Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Contribute to GSM Academy content and faculty and develop curriculum
  • Work to reduce and eliminate barriers and obstacles to improve overall cost and scheduling performance.
  • Your leadership is expected to make it easier for employees to make quality products and make it easier for customers to do business with GSM.
  • Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for creating a professional, safe, and clean environment evidenced by: being at work on time to perform assigned duties, following the policies of Granite State Manufacturing, always wearing safety glasses in designated areas, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, and following safety practices to prevent errors.
  • Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by establishing effective relationships and networks with both managers/directors and staff, collaborating with them to accomplish shared purposes and goals.
