POSITION SUMMARY Leads workforce development, training, and full-cycle recruitment while mentoring teams and partnering with leaders to build skilled talent pipelines, improve operational efficiency, and uphold safety, quality, and ethical standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrates strong knowledge of welding and fabrication processes, as well as machining operations. Mentors and advises employees, line supervisors, and managers to promote operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. Provide Training to address workforce development needs Facilitate streamlining of employment pipeline Support creation of internal bench of top talent to serve business needs. Develop training programs to enable the workforce to achieve improvements with priority organizational concerns Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies. Develop and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning. Develop and maintain effective relationships within the organization and hiring community Maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity and diversity. Conduct presentations and training. Maintain focus and alignment on improving operational and program efficiency and effectiveness. Recruit and contribute to full life cycle recruitment (post, source, prescreen, schedule, offer, onboarding, etc.) Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates. Contribute to GSM Academy content and faculty and develop curriculum Work to reduce and eliminate barriers and obstacles to improve overall cost and scheduling performance. Your leadership is expected to make it easier for employees to make quality products and make it easier for customers to do business with GSM. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for creating a professional, safe, and clean environment evidenced by: being at work on time to perform assigned duties, following the policies of Granite State Manufacturing, always wearing safety glasses in designated areas, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, and following safety practices to prevent errors. Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by establishing effective relationships and networks with both managers/directors and staff, collaborating with them to accomplish shared purposes and goals.
