About The Position

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety. We prioritize the user experience, promote developer success through consistency and trust, and make the mobile experience the safest it can be across Android, Play and Chrome Web stores.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in building scaled operations, efficient workflow design and process documentation in a trust and safety environment.
  • Experience in crafting compelling narratives intended to influence internal and external stakeholders, as well as presenting to executives in the organization.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, complex problem solving and efficient execution.
  • Ability to solve large unstructured business problems, working closely with cross-regional and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex projects involving multiple-stakeholders with the ability to improve abuse detection systems and mitigate user harm.
  • Drive alignment and strengthen partnership with executive stakeholders across Trust and Safety and other cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, Business Development and Legal.
  • Demonstrate core process knowledge to improve workflows and operational workstreams.
  • Build deep policy knowledge and product expertise to implement, execute and iteratively improve enforcement operations.
  • Possess excellent people management and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex policy concepts, delivering persuasive communications for executive audiences.
