About The Position

SSM Health is hiring a Workday Integration Developer to help strengthen how our people systems connect across the enterprise. You’ll partner with a collaborative HR Technology team to build and optimize integrations using Workday Studio, orchestration, and API‑based services—ensuring data flows securely and accurately so leaders and teams can focus on what matters most. This role involves creating simple to complex integrations in and out of a variety of HR Systems, utilizing research, data analysis and best practices to assess system wide impact and provide high functionality. The developer will communicate the integration workflow and necessary process with key stakeholders to ensure exceptional data integrity and service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years’ experience Workday (WD Studio, WD Extend, WD Orchestration)
  • Encryption Best Practices
  • REST/SOAP API

Responsibilities

  • Manages system integrations within the existing architecture using Workday integration technology - Workday Studio, EIB’s, Document Transformation, core connectors, packaged integrations for integration development, XML, SOAP, XSLT, REST, RAAS, BIRT and middleware.
  • Provides support for Workday inbound and outbound integration issues, changes to existing integrations and well as new integrations, including payroll, benefits vendors, time tracking systems.
  • Creates solutions for integration monitoring and provide support for incident management.
  • Performs routine break/fix support and regression testing and supports the inbound/outbound interfaces to Workday and middleware.
  • Ensures accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, clear documentation, and problem resolution.
  • Analyzes and translates functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications.
  • Ensures integrations function as designed based on functional and technical requirements and design.
  • Conducts unit and integration tests to ensure accuaracy and integrity in downstream systems.
  • Consults with business and technical teams about interface design and maintenance; collaborates with other Centers of Excellence and other teams on design decisions.
  • Understands and follows defined integration/development standards and best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
