Workday Analyst

Lighthouse ElectricCanonsburg, PA

About The Position

We are looking for a Workday Analyst to take ownership of Workday and help ensure our Finance systems work the way the business needs them to. While the external title is Workday Analyst, this role is a Business Systems Analyst at its core. The focus is not just system support, but true ownership of how Workday operates, improves, and delivers value over time. This role is ideal for someone with strong Workday back end experience who understands finance processes and wants to be responsible for the health, effectiveness, and evolution of a critical enterprise platform. You will work closely with Finance leaders and the technology team to turn business needs into reliable, well run system solutions. This is not a ticket-based support role. It is an opportunity to own a system, improve how it works, and make a measurable impact on the business.

Requirements

  • Hands on experience administering or supporting Workday in a production environment
  • Strong understanding of finance related business processes such as accounting, payroll, reporting, or financial controls
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own systems and drive improvements from problem identification through execution
  • Self motivated and highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and act with urgency
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across IT and Finance while exercising sound judgment and confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Workday Finance, Payroll, Time Tracking, Expenses, or related modules
  • Experience performing data audits, validations, and corrective actions within Workday
  • Experience delivering system or process training to business users

Responsibilities

  • Own the configuration, functionality, and ongoing optimization of Workday with a primary focus on Finance related processes
  • Serve as the primary Workday analyst for Finance users, providing daily operational support including troubleshooting, access management, and reporting support
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and confidentiality within Workday through regular audits, validations, and corrective actions
  • Partner closely with Finance leaders to understand business processes, goals, and gaps and translate them into effective Workday solutions
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows, controls, and user experience within Workday
  • Support Workday enhancements and project work through requirements definition, configuration, testing, and validation
  • Follow structured change management and release practices to prioritize, test, and deploy updates
  • Maintain clear and accurate Workday system and process documentation
  • Support training and adoption efforts to ensure users are confident and effective in their use of Workday

Benefits

  • Company-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability
  • Life and AD&D insurance
  • 401(k) with 5% company match
  • Paid Holidays
  • Paid Time Off
  • Annual performance reviews
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale, high-profile projects
