Respons i ble for the coordination and oversight of activ i ties and services related to t h e Work Experience Program component. Evaluates compliance with policies and procedures and adherence to contract requirements. This position also works jointly with the Career Navigators and the Business Services Team to ensure coordination of services related to Work Experience (WEX) participant and Employers for this activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor ' s degree from an accredited four-year college or equivalent experience , preferab l y in i mplementation or interpretation of policies and procedures and/or wo r kforce development.
  • At least 1-year experience building business relationships OR at least 1 year related workforce development experience .
  • Must possess strong compute r skills , with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software programs .
  • The pos it ion r equ i res excellent analytical and organizat i onal skills and the a bility to communicate effectively orally , i n writing, or through electronic means .
  • Must also have the ability to make effective speeches and presentations to pub l ic groups, and/or staff .
  • M u s t be ab l e to read and understand performance reports.
  • Must have valid driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a quality work experience program for participants.
  • Manage and conduct analysis of work experience activities to ensure implementation of polic i es and procedures.
  • Accurately review , enter and comp l ete WE X Timesheets into the DWFS T i mesheet Management system .
  • Communicate effectively with DWFS Corporate staff to follow Corporate WEX review process, resolve paycheck and timesheet issues as needed .
  • Coordinate timesheet pick up regionally
  • Coordinate paycheck distribution regionally
  • P r ocure Worksite Agreements from employers and obtain appropriate signatures for approval from DWFS staff
  • Ensure coordination of regional scheduling for New Hire Orientations for WEX participants
  • Ensure coord i nation of r egiona l r ecruitment of participants when needed
  • Track outcomes and manage contractual goals related to the Work Experience Program .
  • Obta i n and review performance evaluations provided by employers and take appropriate act i ons when needed
  • Assure data entry i s accurate and completed
  • Assure case notes are entered per prescribed local policy
  • Rev i ew timesheets and data for trends; provide programmatic guidance for ident i fied areas of non-complianc e / low performance .
  • Review operational procedures and processes ; provide programmatic assistance to I mp r ove performance as well as quality, make recommendations to enhance current procedures to ensure compliance and performance goa l s are
