About The Position

Wire EDM Specialist – Medical Device Manufacturing Picture your day beginning in a clean, temperature-controlled shop where precision matters. You review the day’s work orders in the Epicor Labor Entry system, load and verify your EDM programs, and bring surgical instruments and implants to life by holding tight tolerances and immaculate finishes. From blueprint interpretation to final deburr, you own the process.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands-on wire EDM machine experience.
• Proficiencies
• GD&T
• G-Code
• M-Code
• CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
• Precision Measurement & Hand Metrology
• Advanced Inspection & Gauge Measurement
• Blueprint Reading

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and care for wire EDM equipment, finishing machines, fixtures, and hand tools.
• Program, verify, and test EDM programs to achieve exact specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and written instructions to guide each operation.
• Use precision metrology tools—calipers, micrometers, height stands, comparators—to validate quality.
• Perform burr removal as needed to meet medical-grade standards.
• Adjust machines and perform tool changes to maintain throughput and accuracy.
• Interface with the Epicor Labor Entry system and track progress against work orders.
