About The Position

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Set up and operate Wire EDM machines to produce precision components. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD data. Perform machine setups including fixturing, wire threading, and program adjustments. Monitor machining processes to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality finishes. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges). Collaborate with toolmakers, machinists, and engineers to ensure project success. Maintain equipment and keep work areas organized and safe. General Embraces and participates in JV's Safety culture, always keeping Safety as the #1 priority. Conforms to and follows all safety rules, production, and quality directives. Maintains cleanliness of work area to meet J.V. standards. Reports any incidents that have occurred in a timely fashion and participates in investigations, as required (i.e. safety, spills, accidents, productivity/workflow). Makes suggestions, demonstrates a questioning attitude and is supportive and open minded to new and existing ideas/initiatives. (i.e. Human Performance (“HPI”), SOPs and LEAN Manufacturing). Maintains positive and supportive employee relations through continuous communication with all colleagues. Filing, inventory, administrative, tasks, security, auditing, housekeeping, painting, inspections, telephone calls, ordering, shipping, training, mentoring, updating safety data sheets, and any other duties as assigned. Performs other duties and assignments, as deemed necessary, to support JV’s dynamic business and operational needs. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is generally working within a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment. Work week is a minimum of 40 hours (i.e. 8 hours per day, with a paid lunch). Must be willing to work second shift. Required work hours, schedules and shifts are subject to change based upon business necessity. Required reliable transportation applies to all shifts, as assigned.

Requirements

Education -- High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience operating Wire EDM machines (Mitsubishi, Makino, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
Programming experience with Esprit or Mastercam.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
Experience with tool & die, mold making, or precision machining is highly desirable.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Advanced training or education in a related area.
Previous experience as a tool and die maker or related trade.
Previous experience in the tool and die industry.
