About The Position

The Windows Field Supervisor supports the Install Manager by promoting company Best Practices, safety standards, managing rolling-stock, coordinating resources, and consistently assisting in delivering legendary service. This individual will collaborate with sales to promote teamwork across yards and focus on solutions. Requirements

  • 2 years of previous experience in a similar job
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English
  • Class C driver's license and must have and maintain a good driving record
  • Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
  • Must be able to type 40+ WPM
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material
  • Ability to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all types
  • Must maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related to company finances and records, particularly, cost of goods purchased and sold
  • Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools and/or procedures that may be improved upon to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees at a high skill level and speak effectively in front of groups
  • Strong focus, planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects, and do what is necessary to meet deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and helps ensure compliance of safety policy and procedures
  • Follows safety and drug policies
  • Works with Yard Managers and other leaders at the yard level to review equipment and maintenance
  • Assists with organization of safety committee & participates as requested
  • Assists with post-accident and 3rd party investigations
  • Participates in weekly safety meetings as requested
  • Behaves professionally and confidently in all situations
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Can clearly explain feedback to team members in regular intervals
  • Encourages team environment and helps to set attainable goals
  • Encourages collaboration and cooperation between yards
  • Collaborates with Yard Managers, Assistant Managers, Ops Leads and other Division Heads as directed
  • Demonstrates servant leadership
  • Assist in the vetting and hiring process of employees as needed
  • Assists in new hire training as needed

  • Helps facilitate a high level of communication on a regional level
  • Helps to set and maintain Parr brand standards across yards
  • Assists Yard Managers in identifying new programs and or adherence to existing programs
  • Helps identify, vet, and promote Operational Best Practices
  • Performs random audit of delivery pictures to ensure 100% compliance, quality of visual documentation, and communicates examples short of expectations to the Install Manager
  • Reviews operational SG&A expense opportunities to ensure that the region is leveraging all existing company or market programs
  • Helps identify and vet new program opportunities
  • Utilizes and supports the Install Manager in managing the Employee Attendance program as a tool for continuous improvement, and the growth of our employees
  • Monitors daily lead-time for each location and works with region leaders to honor company lead-time policy
  • Inspect condition of rolling stock fleet – identify issues with Yard Manager, Op's Lead, and fleet
  • Helps facilitate the sharing of rolling stock opportunities within the region
  • Walks yard with Install Manager and Op's Lead and helps identify safety and housekeeping concerns
  • Helps identify cross training opportunities, and development for bench strength
  • Helps identify Closest Point of Shipment opportunities and delivery boundaries and current assessment of the discipline
  • Participates in Operations Meetings and calls
  • Conducts performance reviews for the Window Install Team Lead's in their region
  • Ability to assume Management of yard operations in times of need (vacations, sick days, etc.)
  • Communicates (face to face) directly with sales teams in the region looking for feedback and continuous improvement ideas when visiting yards
  • Attends Regional sales meeting as requested
  • Set the work schedule for install and service techs
  • Ensure an appropriate level of service parts are maintained at the yard
  • Team members complete required new hire online training in timely way
  • Participates in DDMS dispatch scheduling
  • Assists install techs with job site and road challenges
  • Able to complete basic ERP order entry; invoicing, back orders etc.
  • Effectively manages outlook and personal notebook
  • Conducts interview and hiring of install and service techs with the leadership team
  • Able to seek out product transactions and order history
  • Facilitates weekly meetings for entire yard crew
  • Operates as Yard Trainer, or is responsible for designating someone and ensuring training happens
  • Orders yard supplies and necessary services etc.
  • Enforces attendance policy up to and including creating and delivering PINS
  • Prepares and delivers reviews
  • Performs Performance Improvement Notices and ongoing coaching as needed
  • Finds answers to questions and issues that are unknown
  • Review upcoming delivery tickets and compares to inventory levels to reduce potential for backorders
  • Develop and maintains inventory locations monthly
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Shares delivery forecast daily and with team
  • Relays company announcements to team in helpful, supportive way
  • Responds to voicemails in a timely manner
  • Always answers phones promptly with professional greeting
  • Responds to emails promptly and professionally with correct grammar and spelling
  • Proactively and positively communicates with all audiences
  • Walks yard daily and communicates appropriately low stock and outage issues
  • Regularly checks in with Sales Team to seek opportunities for team improvement
  • Participates in site leadership discussion/decision making
  • Regularly gives credit where credit is due, to the person and to management teams
  • Never throws people under the bus, if it's a yard problem/challenge, ops lead takes ownership of the problem
  • Consistently asks for feedback
  • Builds bridges with purchasing and sales team to manage inventory effectively
  • Has relationship with vendors and communicates support needed
