Window Service Technician
About The Position
American Window and Glass is committed to delivering exceptional service and high-quality window and glass products. We are currently seeking a dedicated and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Window Service Technician. In this position, you will get hands on experience with resolving customer issues in the field on windows and doors that are installed in homes. Since this is a customer facing position, providing top notch customer service is a top priority. This position will require travel to other states occasionally and the start and end times may vary depending on the distance of the service call. This position works Monday-Friday day shift with occasional overtime required as business needs dictate. We provide on the job training, a full benefits package, and a schedule allowing for work life balance.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and the ability to provide a driver's record acceptable to our insurance.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squeeze, push, and pull. Full range of hand movements necessary to perform job.
- Ability to climb up and down ladders, familiarity with safely working in high up or difficult to access spaces
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs
- A safety mindset is crucial in this position!
Nice To Haves
- Preferred 1-3 years of experience in installing windows and doors.
- Knowledge of custom window and door installations.
- Ability to perform minor trim work around windows and patio doors both inside and outside.
- Strong customer service experience with a focus on troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport quickly.
Responsibilities
- Perform service and address warranty issues for window products, patio doors, and casements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site by manually repairing defects and meeting customer needs.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by effectively addressing and resolving problems.
- Replace defective parts and address any operational issues with windows and doors.
- Diagnose and report issues such as water infiltration, bowed panels, and interlock problems to the Quality Department for review.
