About The Position

Agropur is seeking a Whey Operator I for their team in Weyauwega, WI. This role is integral to the Whey department, focusing on the safe and efficient operation of various stations. The team processes whey into high-quality, whey-based ingredients by adhering to standard procedures, methods, and good manufacturing practices. Requirements

  • Lift Truck License required: in-house training provided.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, quality and cleanliness in work.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues and peers, along with individuals inside and outside the organization.
  • Follow one- or two-step verbal instructions; read and follow written instructions and SOPs; perform routine and repetitive tasks; carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or verbal instructions; complete necessary checklists and required documentation.
  • Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience.
  • Basic math including fractions, decimals and percentages.
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Dedication to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; acts with customers in mind.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Lactose System & Crystallizers including their start-up, shutdown, required CIP, and performing necessary hourly readings and Packaging.
  • Operate Reduce Lactose Dryer & Finisher.
  • Operate the Evaporator, HTST, Separators and Filtration Equipment.
  • Operate the system and polisher for functions including the start-up, shutdown, CIP, and hourly readings.
  • Clean in Place (CIP) the tanks, silos and line circuits as required.
  • Perform all laboratory sample tests in conjunction with our QA team, as required.
  • Load and unload Dry Cargo trailers in all varieties of weather.
  • Load and unload Tanker Trucks in any variety of weather.
  • Safely and efficiently operate a Lift Truck.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Adhere to the expected safety protocols, with expectations that you will stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures; correct or report any observed safety hazards; support all safety policies and programs.
