As a Wheel Remanufacturing Technician III your essential job functions include: This for our 6PM shift Working on site in our Dent Wizard wheel remanufacturing facility, you’ll fix cosmetic damages (curb and road rash, peeling, scrapes, gouges, oxidation and bent wheels) using spray-painting and powder coating equipment, power tools and work aids. Tasks include painting surfaces, inspecting wheels, prepping and buffing defects, mixing colors and powder coating. Perform the following items (80%) Inspection: Thoroughly inspect wheels for color matching. Determine paint and powder process for full restoration to factory specification. Repair and Restoration: Mix paint colors to color match wheels Powder coat wheels to industry standard Re-paint or re-finish the wheels to match the original appearance or as specified by the customer. Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality control inspection to ensure finish product meets factory specification Quality Control and Service Excellence (20%) Perform quality checks to ensure that the wheels meet safety and appearance standards. Make any necessary adjustments or repairs. Mix to specified color using standard formulas or color charts and Paint surfaces of wheels using spray-painting equipment Other Duties as Assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar environment
  • Must be proficient in automotive parts preparation, reconditioning, buffing and sanding
  • Knowledge of wheel repair and restoration techniques
  • Great communication skills to interact with customers
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive-motion tasks; proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Physical stamina to frequently kneel, bend and squat, as well as lift up to 45 pounds; lift heavy wheels and work in various weather conditions.
