About The Position

Work with the Wharton Dean’s Office Events team, contributing up to 10 hours per week, with the option for fully in-person or a hybrid work arrangement. This position is available to extend through the summer (3rd week of May – August) upon request. This position directly reports to the Associate Director of Wharton Events, providing essential support for various event-related tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the preparation of nametags, packing and unpacking event materials, coordinating the movement of materials, printing, and organizing various event elements. This role extends to assisting in the setup, breakdown, and staffing of events both on and off campus during regular business hours (9 am – 5 pm) and occasional evenings. The ability to work all Wharton graduations in May is also required. Student worker involvement will also encompass regular contributions to the Wharton speaker approval database, involving tasks such as researching bios, processing requests, and compiling reports. Additionally, this position will assist with the Wharton Events Material Loan program, responding to loan inquiries, organizing materials for pickup, and processing returned items. Beyond event-related duties, this position will handle various office tasks, including organizing the Events team office space, managing inventories, and providing a welcoming presence for guests.
