About The Position

The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute is a pioneer in personalized cancer treatment and research, led by Dr. Brian Druker, whose development of Gleevec transformed Chronic Myeloid Leukemia from a fatal disease to a manageable one and proved that targeted therapies can work. The institute focuses on precision oncology, the early detection, prevention, and treatment of cancer, and creating a welcoming and supportive environment for its caregivers, researchers, and support personnel. Requirements

  • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in: Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours), OR Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours)
  • Knowledge of: Confocal imaging
  • Knowledge of: Murine models
  • Knowledge of: Genotyping
  • Knowledge of: Mammalian cell culture

Nice To Haves

  • Past undergraduate-level research experience.

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide.
