About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager at A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co. oversees and manages Territory Managers, handling their hiring, training, and performance reviews. The role involves extensive travel to coach salespeople, meet key customers and end users, attend trade shows, and promote products. Key duties include setting sales quotas, establishing pricing, launching new products, researching market trends, tracking competitors, coordinate events with customers and TM’s, and communicating regional updates to company leadership & management.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be aggressive self-starters who can work independently, are well-organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills
  • Extensive overnight travel is required
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • A four-year degree in business or a related field; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • A pre-employment Background Check and 6 panel (no THC) Drug screen required
  • This position will require you to live within the territory

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CRM and Power BI is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with key prospective and current customers to strengthen relationships and drive sales growth
  • Communicate regional market trends, challenges, and opportunities to product managers and the Vice President of Sales to align sales strategies with overall business goals
  • Travel extensively to coach Territory Managers and support sales activities in the field
  • Supervise and provide guidance to Territory Managers, including conducting annual performance reviews
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to promote products and build brand awareness
  • Oversee the hiring and training of Territory Managers as needed
  • Develop and implement territorial and regional pricing strategies to remain competitive and maximize profitability
  • Responsible for preparing regional board reports to be submitted to the Vice President of Sales quarterly
  • Reviews and approve all VIP Tour visits with Territory Managers to meet company expectations and goals
  • Exercise strong leadership and management skills in line with company policies and applicable laws
  • Lead new product introductions and study market trends to support product development strategies
  • Monitor and document competitors' actions and market activities
  • Establish and manage sales quotas to achieve regional sales objectives
  • Collaborate with vendors on purchasing and selling agreements to optimize inventory and product offerings
  • Review and approve all Territory Manager’s expenses and budgets
  • Host quarterly Regional Meetings with Territory Managers
