Wellness & Fitness Center Specialists
About The Position
Do you have a passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals while providing exceptional customer service? If so, then Kalamazoo Valley Community College may have the ideal part-time position for you. The college is currently seeking a number of qualified candidates to work as Wellness & Fitness Center Specialists. This job provides assistance in the operation of the Wellness and Fitness Center, Gym Cage, and Weight Room. Responsibilities involve overseeing fitness center operations, conducting patron tours, performing orientations for first-time users, answering phones and responding to questions as appropriate. Additional duties include but are not limited to: Performing daily cleaning and upkeep of the Wellness & Fitness Center facility and equipment. Ensuring safety and security. Operating a washer and dryer. Performing opening and closing procedures.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification OR the ability to obtain within the first six (6) months of employment is required.
- Candidates must be able to work independently and without supervision.
- Must be able to perform physical labor requiring bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting of up to 50 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
