Come be a part of the revolution! About the Role: You’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Halcyon House in Washington, IA. As a Well-Being Assistant you will: Plan, develop, and lead individual and group programs addressing social, intellectual, physical, emotional, spiritual, and vocational needs. C ollaborate with residents to co-create personalized programs, encouraging their input and participation to reflect their interests, hobbies, and lifestyles. Offer meaningful one-on-one experiences, such as reading, letter writing, or crafts, especially for residents with limited mobility or who prefer individualized attention. Assist the Director and Well-Being Team in meeting departmental goals. Communicate promptly with the Director of Nursing or supervising nurse regarding observed changes in resident condition when working in clinical area. Foster effective communication across teams. Complete all required documentation, including MDS and other clinical or regulatory components when applicable. Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned. Open Shifts Available: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, some weekend hours when needed

Requirements

  • A high school degree or GED is required.
  • Solid computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and effectively and efficiently use the assigned medical documentation system.
  • Ability to function effectively under changing circumstances and be flexible.
