Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional welding experience
  • Experience with ASME, B31.3, NBIC, and AWS
  • Can interpret blueprints, perform code welding and inspection
  • Leadership

Nice To Haves

  • CWI certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own & maintain the welding program, holding all work to quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure all welding work meets ASME, AWS, NBIC, OSHA, and other applicable codes and standards.
  • Inspect & audit shop and field welding to ensure work meets standards.
  • Manage welding documentation, including procedures, certifications, and records.
  • Review & approve WPS, PQRs, and WPQs while enforcing welding standards and supporting audits and accreditation.
  • Train & support welding personnel, stepping in with hands-on expertise in the shop or field when needed.
  • Coordinate welding work across projects with engineering, project management, and field teams.
  • Travel occasionally to job sites as needed.
