Electric Heat is a trusted leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Backed by the strength of ASPEQ Heating Group and Marley Engineered Products, we offer a wide range of standard and customized products through leading brands like QMark, Indeeco, Berko, and Brasch.  Our portfolio includes baseboard, wall, unit, and infrared heaters, along with ceiling fans and air circulators - designed to deliver comfort, reliability, and performance. We are committed to high-quality, energy-efficient solutions that improve environments where people live and work. SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Welder, you will perform welding operations to assemble and secure sheet metal for electrical and industrial equipment, according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Requirements

  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to correctly read a tape measure.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of tig welding, mig welding, and spot welding equipment and techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Tig welding, Mig welding, and stick welding certification
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Responsibilities

  • Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications.
  • Welds or tack welds metal parts together, using tig welding, mig welding, or spot welding equipment.
  • Removes rough spots from workpiece, using grinder, sander, or saw.
  • May be trained and tested to be ASME certified.
