About The Position

We are a 40-year-old steel fabrication and steel erection company with strong family values, looking for a motivated, dependable Welder / Small Engine Mechanic & Service Technician to join our team.
This position involves a mix of shop work and field service, supporting welding equipment and small engines used in our operations.

Requirements

• Mechanical experience required
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record

Nice To Haves

• Welding equipment or small engine repair experience preferred
• Miller Welder certification or training is a plus
• Willingness to be trained specifically on Miller welders
• Ability to work independently and in the field when needed
• Own tools are a plus (some tools provided)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain welding equipment (Miller welders primarily)
• Service and repair small engines and related mechanical equipment
• Perform field service work as needed using a company-provided vehicle
• Assist with in-shop repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
