Field Technician - Welder
About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Field Technician with welding capabilities to support the construction, operations, and maintenance of thermal remediation systems. This role combines our traditional Field Technician duties with the additional skill of performing MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on carbon-steel pipe, stainless-steel tubing, and rods. Position Summary: Work across all phases of TerraTherm projects, including construction, installation, operations support, maintenance, and demobilization. Assemble and disassemble vapor- and liquid-treatment systems. Operate various types of equipment and perform high‑quality welding and fabrication as required. Requirements
- One year of experience in construction, mechanical, or maintenance fields.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Ability to pass physical and drug/alcohol screenings.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, including carbon steel and stainless‑steel materials.
- Respiratory Protection will be required to be worn if specified by a site-specific Health and Safety Plan, or when air monitoring indicates potential for exposure levels to reach an established action, level, threshold limit value (TLV), or permissible exposure limit (PEL). To comply with health and safety standards to protect against workplace hazards, employees may be required to shave or maintain facial hair in a manner that ensures a proper seal for respirator use.
- Offer of employment is conditional upon passing a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test and maintaining a clean driving record, in accordance with DOT requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble vapor and liquid treatment equipment.
- Operate forklifts and skid steers safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and repair system components.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding for construction and operations tasks.
- Ensure weld quality with proper fit‑up, preparation, and inspection.
- Follow TerraTherm safety practices and participate in safety programs.
- Maintain professionalism, workmanship, and reliable communication.
