Maintain weld standards & fabrication processes within the department to meet budgets, schedules and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Pipe welding (Ability to qualify in a 6G test for Mig, Pulse and Tig)
  • Blueprint reading
  • Fabrication skills (Cutting and fitting)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • May be required to work extended hours which may include weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and/or machinery.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Minimum Experience: 3+ years experience in lieu of vocational degree/certificate in structural / pipe welding.
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic blueprint reading
  • Basic fabrication skills
  • Comprehension of safety rules
  • Sit, stand, reach, walk for periods of time on concrete surface.
  • Ability to lift / carry 50 lbs.
  • Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and or machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all operations in the manufacture of custom packages, heat exchangers and vessels to required specifications and budgets.
  • Assembles and welds sub assembly parts
  • Welds internal and external parts
  • Assembles and welds water boxes
  • Sub arc tube sheets
  • Welds tube to tubesheet
  • Installs package components
  • Assembles weld and installs system piping
  • Assist in training less experienced employees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
