Web Writer/Editor
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Journalism, Graphic Design, Publications, Web Design, Web Development, Digital Design, or other relevant field, or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Experience writing and editing web content
- Experience with WordPress CMS
- Demonstrated ability to check web sites for accuracy, functionality, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to brand style guidelines
- Demonstrated image editing (cropping, resizing) abilities
- Strong attention to detail and adept at multitasking
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a higher education setting
- Experience customizing web content to ensure websites meet accessibility requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of web design, HTML , Accessibility Best Practices, Google Analytics, SEO / SEM
- Knowledge of AP Style
- Demonstrated ability to assist with training and support for new web editors
