About The Position

Temple Web Design is seeking a Web Developer / Web Designer II to support WordPress-based websites for commercial, nonprofit, and institutional clients. This role is intended for an early-to-mid-career professional with paid web development experience who is comfortable working within established designs, templates, and development standards. The position supports senior developers and project leads and focuses on implementation, updates, content support, and site maintenance within governed WordPress environments.

Requirements

• One to three years of paid professional experience in web development or web design
• Working experience with WordPress, including page builders or block-based editing
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
• Familiarity with responsive design principles
• Ability to follow established processes, standards, and instructions
• Reliable on-site availability and ability to work as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Drupal customization or support experience
• Experience working on institutional, higher-education, nonprofit, or government-adjacent websites

Responsibilities

• Build and update WordPress pages using existing themes, templates, and block-based layouts
• Implement approved designs and content updates in alignment with brand and accessibility standards
• Assist with content migration, page cleanup, and site organization tasks
• Perform routine WordPress administration tasks, including updates, plugin configuration, and troubleshooting
• Support accessibility-aware content formatting and basic remediation under guidance
