We are looking for a part-time Web Developer responsible for building and maintaining website and web applications using HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and PHP to join our Software team. The role focuses on front-end styling and responsive design we well as back-end scripting and content management (CMS) integration. The Web Developer will ensure websites are functional, user-friendly and easy to update via popular CMS platforms. They will work under the guidance of senior developers to write clean code, troubleshoot issues and implement new features.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of graphic design and web development experience
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS (including SASS), JavaScript, PHP
  • Familiarity with use of Figma
  • Understanding of common CMS platforms
  • Version control (GitHub)
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work individually and within a team environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality client-facing work

Nice To Haves

  • Statamic and/or Laravel experience
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator

Responsibilities

  • Front-End Development : Create and style web pages using HTML5 and CSS3 (with SASS preprocessor) to match design specifications and ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive layout for various devices.
  • Back-End Scripting : Develop and maintain server-side functionality using PHP. This includes form handling, dynamic page generation, and database interactions (e.g. MySQL) to support web features.
  • C MS Integration : Work with content management systems to develop or customize themes, templates, and plugins, and facilitate easy content updates and ensure CMS-based sites are secure and up-to-date.
  • Testing and Debugging : Assist in testing web applications across different browsers/devices.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with senior developers and designers to integrate front-end and back-end components, and follow best coding practices and participate in code reviews to learn and uphold quality standards.
