About The Position

The Web Content Developer is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining secure, mission-focused web content for Army cyber and IT environments. This position ensures that websites provide accurate, compliant, and engaging information to support Army operations, cybersecurity initiatives, and organizational objectives. The role emphasizes content development and user experience rather than programming, while adhering to Department of Defense (DoD) and Army security standards.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • 2 years experience with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Design, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; 6 years experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree
  • Must have CompTia Security+ certification prior to start date
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and security compliance.
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS, secure web usability standards, and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)

Responsibilities

  • Conceive and develop written and graphical content for Army websites to provide mission-critical information to authorized users.
  • Gather and integrate data from multiple Army departments and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain content integrity for classified and unclassified environments in accordance with DoD cybersecurity policies.
  • Develop and enforce user interface and design standards to improve usability and accessibility for Army personnel.
  • Monitor web trends and implement best practices to enhance site presence and functionality within secure networks.
  • Recommend improvements to features and navigation while ensuring compliance with Army IT security protocols.
  • Work closely with cybersecurity teams, system administrators, and mission stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and security.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD directives, Army regulations, and federal accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508).
  • Create and manage secure links to approved external and internal resources.
  • Stay informed on emerging web technologies, cybersecurity requirements, and Army IT policies.
  • Assist in developing strategies to increase secure web presence and improve user experience within controlled environments.
