About The Position

Watersport Manager, Instructor and Dock Lead is responsible for facility safety, cleanliness, and instruction for all members and guests, as well as assisting colleagues with day-to-day operations. It is the goal of this program to provide members and guests with once in a lifetime outdoor recreation experience.

Requirements

  • Extensive boating experience.
  • High school diploma, G.E.D. or work equivalent.
  • Required to work on-call duty when needed.
  • High level of organization, time management and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must operate efficiently in a fast dynamic environment.
  • Required to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions and skilled in following food safety practices.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required roles during emergencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Captain license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain and oversee CDA’s boats, Member’s boats, docks, beach, and marina equipment.
  • Abide by marine laws and practices that ensure a safe and responsible environment.
  • Adhere to all Idaho State Boating Laws and Regulations.
  • Instruct, coach, and facilitate water sports such as wake surfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, paddle boarding, tubing, and kayaking.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the CDA’s boats and member owned boats.
  • Experienced with trailing boats, loading in and out, dry docking, and securing loads.
  • Demonstrate watersports knowledge through safe and engaging instructional lessons, both on water, and within the Marina.
  • Rotate within the team and take responsibility for coaching, driving, and spotting.
  • Promote and encourage conversation and laughter with members on and off lessons.
  • Understand the operational systems of a wide variety of watercraft.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure the highest standard of health and safety is adhered to and that guests are coached on the effective/safe use of all equipment.
  • Be outgoing and involved with the members and guests in their recreation activities.
  • Uphold the Company’s policies and procedures both personally and with other staff.
  • Ensure all Company assets in and outside of the Marina are used with the best interest of the Company.
  • Go above and beyond to provide members and guests with once in a lifetime recreation experience.
  • Assist in fueling of Company and member owned boats.
  • Always maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Uphold an excellent standard of customer service.
  • Encourage members and guests to partake in water sport activities.
  • Assist and lead Dock Hands with day-to-day operations, which includes cleaning, docking, and prepping boats.
  • Set up and maintain sporting equipment, as necessary.
