Concord Recreation is seeking a Head Lifeguard for its Waterfront program. They will manage lifeguard operations, supervise lifeguards on duty, watch waterfront activities, prevents and addresses dangerous situations, and responds to people in need of aid. Performs varied and responsible duties requiring a thorough knowledge of departmental operations and the exercise of judgment and initiative in completing tasks, particularly in situations not clearly defined by precedent or established procedures. Work schedule is 37.5 hours per week, schedule varies with shifts ranging from 9:00am-7:30pm and set by Aquatics Manager, from May 23– August 16, 2026. Pay range: $22.00 - $26.53/hour; starting pay based on qualifications. Applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled. Performs varied and responsible duties requiring a thorough knowledge of departmental operations and the exercise of judgment and initiative in completing tasks, particularly in situations not clearly defined by precedent or established procedures. Incumbent is called upon to handle a significant amount of details, each varying from the other in substance and content, requiring incumbent to approach workload with flexibility.
