About The Position

Hazen is seeking an intern in our Cincinnati office. As part of our design and process teams, you will work on a variety of water-related assignments. Project opportunities include drinking water treatment facilities and distribution systems, wastewater treatment facilities, sewer and stormwater collection systems, and other water resource management projects. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s/Master’s degree program
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in group settings.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with experienced engineering team providing mentoring opportunities to learn and develop
  • Sit on a project team from initial studies and conceptual design through construction
  • Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including sampling studies, condition assessments, hydraulics, and design reports
  • Manage data for process modeling and design
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment
  • Participate in fieldwork and local site visits
