Qualifications (Level Based on Experience & Licensing) Apprentice: High school diploma or GED + valid driver’s license. Vocational, technical or on-the-job training in water preferred. No experience or license required—we’ll train you. Intermediate: 2+ years water treatment experience and WT3 or WT5 license Independently operates plant systems Senior: 6+ years experience and WT3 & WT5 licenses + leadership ability Leads operations and supports staff Why Carmel? Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and safety mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or GED + valid driver’s license.
  • Vocational, technical or on-the-job training in water preferred.
  • No experience or license required
  • 2+ years water treatment experience
  • WT3 or WT5 license
  • Independently operates plant systems
  • 6+ years experience
  • WT3 & WT5 licenses + leadership ability
  • Leads operations and supports staff

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain water treatment systems
  • Perform inspections, sampling, and water quality testing
  • Troubleshoot equipment and respond to system alarms
  • Maintain records and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support maintenance of equipment, tools, and facilities
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies
  • Lead daily operations and support team members
  • Train and mentor staff
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Performs other Related Duties as required
