About The Position

The Water Meter Technician position ensures correct read information through
technical metering systems and troubleshooting of devices. These actions ensure
the accuracy of billing to citizens and business owners. The position performs
maintenance and installation of meters, along with direct external and internal
customer service. Additionally, this position writes, records, logs and
maintains accurate data related to meters and service
order work completed.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalency.
• 6-9 months experience.
• Some previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
• The job requires a general understanding of common techniques, methods, practices, procedures, and use of forms, routines, etc., of an intermediate nature.
• Work requires heavy physical exertion and effort. Forces exerted are equivalent to lifting between 25 and 50 pounds.
• Valid Arizona Class “D” Driver’s License required at time of hire.
