About The Position

What Your Day Will Look Like: As a student intern, you'll support a variety of civil engineering-related tasks, assist with project research, and conduct preliminary design calculations. You'll assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation and contribute to the delivery of project work. The student intern reports to the project manager. This intern position will be part of our Consor Forward Internship Program. As part of an intern cohort, you'll learn by participating in weekly workshops and career-based assignments, all while gaining experience on a variety of real civil engineering projects related to water and transportation infrastructure. Our program is designed to help you explore and expand your potential, connect with other interns and leaders across the firm, and have a good time doing it! What You'll Do: Assist in the preparation of reports, cost estimates, specifications, design calculations, and construction material quantities. Use computer-aided design and engineering software to draft working plans and detailed drawings. Analyze and revise maps, charts, exhibits, diagrams, as-built maintenance records, and layouts for design projects. Participate in support tasks during construction such as responding to submittals and RFIs Visit project sites as a member of the design team.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an ABET accredited university working towards a Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Completed core civil engineering coursework and currently taking upper-level division coursework.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software.
