Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
  • Coursework related to water and wastewater treatment and conveyance
  • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.; occasional overnight travel will be required

Nice To Haves

  • Passed FE/EIT exam
  • Residence in Des Moines, IA metro area
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Zero (0) to Four (4) years of previous experience
  • Previous experience serving as a design engineer or project manager for water/wastewater projects
  • Previous experience in preparing project plans, specifications, and bidding documents
  • Previous experience in project proposal preparation and client service management
  • Proficiency with design applications including: AutoCAD Civil3D, ArcGIS, and Revit
  • Proficiency with hydraulic modeling including: XPSWMM, Infoswmm, Bentley WaterGEMS, and Innovyze InfoWater
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, design, and construction of water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping, distribution, storage or conveyance projects
  • Develop creative solutions to complex water and wastewater treatment and conveyance challenges, working closely with our team of engineers, designers and other professionals
