About The Position

Are you dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn? Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team at the High Street facility in Hanover, PA, on the Weekend Day Shift. This role works Friday-Sunday, 5:00 AM-5:00 PM. No experience? No problem-training is available to set you up for success in this role! As a Wastewater Treatment Operator, you will receive hands-on training, develop technical expertise, and play a vital role in maintaining safe and efficient operations across our facilities. Training is available for candidates who meet the following requirements: Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong focus and attention to detail to complete tasks properly. Valid forklift and driver's licenses required (or ability to obtain day one). Ability to drive a company vehicle as needed. Full range of motion and physical flexibility. Can understand and follow complex tank and piping layouts. Can make informed decisions and assess situations independently after training. Strong situational awareness and ability to respond to operational conditions. Requirements

  • Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • A CDL license is preferred
  • A Commonwealth of PA Waste Treatment Operator's License is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Sanitize waste treatment equipment and areas, using cleaning chemicals and PPE safely.
  • Monitor wastewater operations and equipment at all facilities.
  • Operate filter press, DAF system, and Batch Reactors as needed.
  • Perform daily operational and laboratory tests, maintaining logs.
  • Performs equipment maintenance alongside plant maintenance personnel.
  • Follow piping layouts and troubleshoot independently after training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
