About The Position

The Warranty Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end administration of warranty activities for Rehlko Power Systems products. This role serves as a key decision-maker in the adjudication of warranty claims, interpretation of warranty policy, and support of distributors, dealers, and internal stakeholders. The Warranty Specialist exercises sound judgment, works effectively in ambiguous situations, and ensures fair, consistent, and policy-compliant warranty outcomes while maintaining a strong customer focus. Work Mode: Hybrid Location: 200 Twin Oaks Road Kohler WI Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior warranty administration experience supporting industrial equipment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret policy, make impartial decisions, and handle difficult conversations professionally.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous situations with limited precedent while maintaining consistency and sound judgment.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including warranty systems, reporting tools, SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial power equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review, adjudicate, and process warranty claims in accordance with Rehlko warranty policies, approval limits, and service agreements.
  • Evaluate and return claims that do not meet warranty requirements, clearly communicate deficiencies and require corrective actions.
  • Review and adjudicate goodwill policy adjustment claims and secure management approval for claims exceeding authorization limits.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on warranty policy interpretation, providing guidance to distributors, dealers, and internal teams.
  • Respond to warranty-related inquiries and provide training or clarification to customers and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Support and troubleshoot warranty system issues, partnering with IT and system providers to resolve defects, data issues, and access concerns.
  • Maintain warranty system configuration, including flat labor rates, warranty parameters, policies, and global settings to ensure accurate claim processing.
  • Generate and analyze warranty reports for management, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage issues related to unit start-ups, registrations, and extended warranty applications escalated to the warranty department.
  • Assist with unit registration entry and approval of extended warranty purchase requests as required.
  • Serve as the primary contact for users of the online warranty system, assisting with claim submission, returns, policy interpretation, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain warranty system user access and security permissions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by reviewing warranty publications, policies, and procedures and recommending updates to ensure clarity and consistency.
