We offer a lot of room to grow internally! LMRV is currently hiring a Warranty Clerk for our growing team. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable and efficient with RV, Automotive and Accounts Receivable experience. SUMMARY: Prepares, records, and submits warranty claims to Manufacturers and Distributors and reconciles accounts accordingly.

Requirements

  • Pre-employment screenings including background and drug test
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Process all warranty paperwork including claims to ensure proper documentation on a timely basis for each Manufacturer or Distributor.
  • Manage and monitor submitted claims for collection.
  • Ensure all required fields are entered in the Warranty log and comments are maintained as the claim progresses to payment.
  • Coordinate with the Warranty Assistant and Service Advisors to ensure all information required for claim submission is acquired, including pictures, pre-authorizations, invoices or defective part returns.
  • Report Warranty Claim problems directly to the Warranty Administrator, keeping them informed and updated on the status of problem claims or claim issues.
  • Verify criteria required by Manufacturer or Vendor and communicate with management and service employees to ensure your store understands the process for submitting a Warranty Claim and steps to complete them.
  • Reconcile all warranty receivables and follow up on payment status of outstanding claims.
  • Resubmit all rejected claims promptly or receive authorization to write them off from the Warranty Manager or Service Manager or respond to manufacturer claim feedback requests.
  • Arrange for parts to be shipped to Manufacturer, held for inspection or to be scrapped.
  • File and maintain all service records as required by the warrantor.
  • Keeps informed of all Manufacturer Recalls and Service Bulletins.
  • Does not allow warranty claims to age and become uncollectable.
