We offer a lot of room to grow internally! LMRV is currently hiring for a Warranty Assistant for our growing team. The ideal candidate has excellent computer skills, is organized and reliable. SUMMARY: Prepares, records, and submits Warranty Pre-Authorizations to the factory and/or distributor and reconciles them accordingly. Gathers information, documentation and pictures as needed for a successful claim submission by Warranty Administrators and Clerks. SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday

Requirements

  • Pre-employment screenings including background and drug test
  • Strong ability to multi-task and be flexible
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and good typing abilities

Responsibilities

  • Process and prepare all warranty paperwork to ensure proper claim submission in a timely manner for each Manufacturer or Distributor.
  • Coordinate Repair Order flow with Service Advisors, Ensure the Advisor has Provided Complaint/Cause/ Correction, Pictures, Invoices, Return of Warranty parts on Repair orders and Confirm units are Within Manufacturers Warranty period.
  • Assist Warranty Administrators and Clerks in the collection of information required for claim processing and acquiring Pre-authorization as required to facilitate the claim submission.
  • Report Warranty Pre-Authorization problems directly to the Warranty Administrator or Service Manager, keeping them informed and updated on the status of problem claims.
  • Ensure your store understands the process for submitting a Warranty Pre-Authorization and steps to complete them.
  • Stay up to date on Manufacturer Warranty requirements and recalls.
  • Attend Service Meetings as required by the Service Manager.
  • Verify criteria required by factory or distributor.
  • Resubmit all rejected claims promptly or receive authorization to write them off from the Service Manager.
  • Arrange for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor, held for inspection, or to be scrapped.
  • File and maintain all service records as required by the warrantor.
  • Keep informed of all factory recalls and bulletins.
  • Assist with body shop warranty claims as needed.
