About The Position

The Warranty Advisor assist in achieving the company’s strategic objective through increased customer retention. This will be achieved by completing urgent and timely work to minimize our customer’s downtime/repair turnaround time.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Basic
  • Computer Experience
  • Customer service Experience
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of warranty terms, common warranty issues, and filing procedures
  • File warranty claims with the manufacturer accurately and efficiently on the customer’s behalf
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure timely completion of warranty inspections
  • Negotiate claim outcomes for the best interest of the customer and the company
  • Create shipping documents to ensure proper return of warranty parts
  • Use tracking information to review shipping status of warranty parts
  • File claims with shipping and freight carriers for lost or damaged packages
  • Maintain customer records as required by the warrantor and company policy
  • Negotiate with all parties to resolve disputes
  • Follow up on payment of outstanding claims by the vendor.
  • Provide the highest quality service to our customers, express empathy, demonstrate professionalism and competency in all communications
  • Utilize current systems and processes to make decisions in the best interest of the customer and the company
  • Fulfill all other responsibilities of warranty administration, as needed
  • Follow the HHP system and report any problems to management immediately
