About The Position

Work Shift: Third Shift - Somersworth (United States of America) Work Shift Time: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Job Objective : Safely load and unload creels, accurately complete necessary paperwork, and operate Warper. Perform other duties as directed. Essential Job Functions: Commitment to Safety Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Promotes a culture of safety within the organization by leading by example and encouraging others to prioritize safety. Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process. Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities. Read, interpret and verify yarn requirements from production orders. Prepare documentation to requisition required yarn from warehouse. Clean and perform preventive maintenance on the creels. Safely operate Warper according to standard operating procedures Safely operate various motorized lifts to load and unload yarn packages from the creel. Prepare beams on shafts to load and unload at Warp machine. Properly label finished beams. Follow SOP and Control Plans at process to meet Quality requirements. Maintain quality standards and clean work area Perform other duties as assigned or required for the position. Ability to load and unload yarn packages while on a lift up to 17 feet above ground Ability to repeatedly lift and load packages of yarn weighing up to 18 pounds. Ability to maneuver beams up to 1452 pounds with mechanical assistance. Ability to operate manual hand jack. Ability to work well with others in a team environment Excellent attendance required Full time presence required Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends. Additional tasks as assigned Job Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Two years of production machine operator experience. Hazardous Communications, Lock Out / Tag Out, and Forklift certification (or certification within 30 days). Certification or certification obtained within 90 days to operate power trucks. Proficiency in reading dials. Ability to read and interpret written instructions, complete basic paperwork and data entry. Ability to wear hearing protection. Good dexterity and hand eye coordination. Requires good eyesight, ability to see fine detail. Requirements
