About The Position

It’s a great time to join Velcro Companies ! Work Shift: Third Shift - Somersworth (United States of America) Work Shift Time: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Job Objective: Safely perform troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, repair, and routine maintenance of production equipment following established Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards.

Requirements

Must have mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting.
Experience with service and repair of complex production machinery and equipment including electrical and mechanical components a plus.
Abiltiy to be certified to complete lockout/tagout operations and to complete Hazardous Communications training.
Ability to be certified to operate a powered industrial trucks.
Ability to read and interpret dials, gauges, rulers, equipment service manuals, and general instructions.
Ability to accurately complete paperwork and data entry.
High school diploma/GED required.
Ability to learn independently including book, web-base and classroom participation.

Nice To Haves

Previous textile manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process.
Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities.
Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
Perform diagnostic analysis, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and routine maintenance of equipment.
Make minor adjustments to ensure product meets specifications.
Restart equipment following shutdown, ensuring proper operation
Excellent addendance is required.
Teamwork and collaboration is essential.
Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends.
Full-time presence required
